t34

Post by trackpin »

Hi guys, been looking at treating myself to a 34,anybody got any idea why they are so expensive compared to others,ie tigers, abrams,Sherman's,even a king tiger can be had for less than £100.Not sure why there's a big difference, any thoughts?.

Not sure I'm understanding your question..Are you talking New or Used ?.Heng Longs have pretty much remained the same price...that price is comparable to all the same level tanks...Taigen has jumped quite a bit... I think mostly due to demand....everyone wants the full metal beast...it does include quite a bit of options too...so compared to other Taigens...with the exception of the Sherman ...you're getting a pretty good RTR package
With that said...take a look at the Torros...they are way more than the Taigens...but for good reason in some cases...the full metal King Tiger as an example you will never find for a £100

If you want a really cheap T34...there is always the WSN (old models) ...as used ones are popping up all the time...they do have a new 2.4 version(Sellers are really pricing that low as well)...but I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole ;)

I got my HL T34 from forgebear's Ebay shop (he's on here too). Metal gears & 2.4GHz system for about £90 + postage. Can't see any on his site at the moment, but send him a PM.

Thanks for the comments guys, what I was looking for was a plain and simple t34, a henglong will do,and I didn't really think I could pick up an all metal tiger for less than a£100,unless you are very lucky. So maybe I'll keep my eyes on the market or perhaps save a bit more money.Regards Trackpin.

Good Luck with your shopping...The T34 is a good tank...straight out of the box...there isn't much to do to it ...mostly because the Russians just didn't pack it down with stowage and such ;)

That's what it is trackpin....a Play hard go get um tank...with enough room to do a little modelling if you like...the only thing I can say that isn't fair is....only the bb version was available in the US....I've seen the IR version released just about everywhere else...so if you can get your hands on one of those...well...for lack of a better set of words...IMO...you're one lucky guy ..I'd be green with envy ;D

:haha: :haha: I'm caught with the proverbial smoking gun :haha: I have to admit...at one point I drooled at the thought of owning a WSN...even bid on one with different packaging the guy had the one distributed in Japan...you could tell it was the WSN ...even though the label and branding was not WSN or Matorro...but the bid went way over the 30 dollars I was willing to pay for it :haha: ...thought it would be nostalgic to have one lol ;)
It's like that mythical story of a hot babe...who jumps into bed ...If she's STD free...
who would kick her out??? :shifty: On the flip side....if she says she'll need 200 dollars to continue...long story short...
there's the door baby..don't slam it when you leave :haha:

Moral to the story...still haven't been within 10 feet of a WSN ;) ...won't be unless it's an offer I can't refuse :D

Carpe Diem Ed :D

ALPHA

PS.. The WSN is a nice tank...but even with the new 2.4 version...it's still outdated ...But I have to say...it does have a following..and there are people who wouldn't trade or sell it for anything
