I had issues on my Win8 PC, If I remember correctly the adp? reader which was a seperate program wasn't working correctly. Basically the software when trying to connect to the radio would try launch the adp? reader but the shortcut link was wrong so wouldn't launch.

Sorry about been vague but was a while ago, but hopefully might help you.

Sincere apologies for not acknowledging your reply - been without internet.
I attach 3 screen shots that ;
1- show device list before plugging in the turnigy via usb
2- show device list after plugging in the turnigy
3 - show the error message when trying to burn tanker9x firmware using eepe.

My knowledge is limited to following guidance I found on the internet but it seems that the drivers are working - the device is recognised.
However I have no idea how to move on from here
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Sounds like same issue I had. I'll have a play around tonight to see if I can remember more accurate description.

Okay in the eePe software open your settings and you should get a screen like below.

Image

On the AVRDUDE location check your computer to make sure there is the AVRDUDE.exe in that location. On mine it hadn’t installed in that location so wouldn’t read the transmitter. If Avrdude isn’t there, search your computer for the program, when found copy the link into the eePe software link and try again. (might need to restart eePe software)

Hope that helps.

Hi Ian
Just checked for the location of AVRDUDE and that seems OK. I changed the port to blank per your screenshot and tried to update the firmware. Same error message as before.
I checked in Device manager and the USBASP device is no longer recognised.
I have no idea why this is. I guess it might have something to do with the drivers but I really don't know.
Anyway I am concerned about taking up any more of your time and to be frank my time.
Its probably easier and cheaper to buy a flashed tx from Australia !!!
Kind regards
Bob

Hi Bob

If your using windows 8 it won't allow you use and unassigned drivers (Microsoft have to approve them) it will go through the motions of installing but won't actually do it.

Search internet on how to change settings in windows to allow you to install unassigned drivers and retry installing the driver.
