Had the same the last place I lived, pried open the garage door and nicked a toolbox with £400 of tools in it.

Just happened to be passing the newstand in the supermarket today and noticed a headline on the Classic Car monthly. Some toe rag stole a pensioners restored Willy's jeep from the Duxford show. Talk about pond life.... >:<

Holy douche bag!!!!!!!!!!Sorry to hear this ED....Sounds like it might be someone close by...they must have been casing your house..maybe even saw you leave...Might be a good idea to cruise any pawn shops or repair shops...they might try to sell some of it...and you may be able to get a description

Good Luck..All the best

They got in my garage once and took 3 mountain bikes, our 1 year old lawn mower, the T-Tops off my 1980 Trans Am along with its carburetor and radio and some tools. About a week later I was at a friends house a couple miles away and GUESS what I see in their neighbors yard, my 3 bikes all being re-painted and my lawn mower cutting their grass! I knew there was no way to prove the stuff was mine so instead of calling the police I walked up to the guy and asked where he got the bikes and the mower, he claimed he found them all in the woods near his work. I said "Wow that's pretty cool! Where do you work?" He replied a place on the other side of town. I told him that's odd because it all was stolen from my garage not a week ago and I live just a mile or so away. At this point I could see his heart beating through his t-shirt and I told him "That's cool teach my dumb ass to not lock my garage to keep pieces of sht like you from stealing my hard earned things." He tried to argue but I said "No no no no no no really its cool I'm not gonna call the cops cause I can't prove its my stuff. But here's my promise to you, if you EVER set foot on my property again you will never see your wife or girlfriend or your kids EVER again. I know where you live and everyone you love will disappear are we clear?" He just stared at me and I pointed to his family who were all standing in the front yard and told him to take a good long look cause it may be the last time he sees them. The woman grabbed the kids and took them into the house, he said he was gonna call the police and I told him so you steal MY stuff and YOU'RE going to call the police? Good luck with that moron! After that I'd drive past his house reeeaaaaaal slow and beep my horn, did that for about a year every other weekend and would waive never heard another peep from the thief. And yes that's all 100% true.

Weren't your bikes registered...usually a bike shop will do that for the license ...I know I always register mine...and I always put a mark on the parts somewhere ;)
