bits n' bobs

Post by trackpin »

Hi guys, just spent a couple of hours tidying up my model workspace up in the loft.It needed it because I'm always starting something before I finished the previous project.Anyway, sorting through the stuff I gathered over the years I noticed that there is a lot of stuff that can be used on other scales.Just because I'm at the moment working in 1/16 scale, doesn't mean you can't use other scales.Take for instance crates and box's,they can come in all shapes and sizes(I know,I work in a bonded warehouse),so take a look at the model railway fraternity, and the doll house accessories. The model boat community can also be a great place to find chain, rope, and canvas sails can make great tarpaulin. The model aircraft builders also use fine material for wing and fuselage covering. It's worth taking a look at ,you never know what you might find.Regards,Trackpin.

Herman,
I just ordered a set of brass hinges for the Commander's hatch on the StuG III, *chuckles* from the Doll House of Armor!
