Newbie from Cornwall

Post by Firebird »

Hi Just a quick intro, I've been around RC since the early single channel with rubber powered escapement's... if your very old you will know what I'm talking about, :D I have at the moment a couple of RC cars which have not been used and a 1/16 Helong Panzer MK111
and a couple of helicopters which I have used a little but my Grandchildren love playing with.

My main interest is American Cars and I have for of them so you can see I like large vehicles, and so I've just started building a 1/4 Scale Mk1 Tiger Tank for my grandchildren to drive around in, I'm using Glassfibre to build to hull and turret and industrial chain and sprokets to build the tracks, I hope to get it fairly close to scale and detail apart from the track which obviously wont look exactly right but I thought it would be the cheapest and most functional way to get it to move around, anyway I thought I'd join this site and may be pick up some tips on the way these things work or how indeed sometimes they don't. :/

Thank for allowing me on here and I know it's not RC that I'm building this time but may be the next one will be as I'll have the mould so it would be silly not to make another one for me :D
