Kevin If you need any help with your build I can think of nothing better than to go to HENG LONG Builds and use PALEPAINTERS "SUPER P" build as one of your sources of reference. It is very helpful in showing how to overcome some of the unique problems that this Rare model throws up.

This is one of my favourite tanks, and as has been said there is an excellent build that you can use for inspiration (the best I have I seen anywhere really). Looking forward to plenty of pics.

1)extended inner airsoft tube.
2)used full length of brass tube for barrel.
3)cut armor-test fit.
Started the barrel mods...nothings glued yet, just putting up dates on the build. Tomorrow I'll work on the side armor/plates...if time let's me!!

I am awaiting plastic hl kv1 tracks. They look very similar to the t81. Hopefully the will work with little to no mods. I'll keep an up date on them when the come next week.
it's worth a try!!

]I got the KV-1 tracks today. They fit and work well with m41a3 rear wheels. The stock pershing are to wide for the tracks. And will not aline in the sprokets holes. I am going to try to cut them down to see if that will work. Either way I'm happy with what I have now.

will need to modify m41a3 sprokets for channel so that the track keeps on wheel in heavy grass.I will go off the stock pershing wheel track channel-if I use this set up.

Everything lines up perfectly

I may use heat to bend tracks outer most teeth down to resemble t81 tracks.also

Looks like you're making a good start on this build.
I suggest, though, that you ditch the Bulldog sprockets and the KV-1 tracks. They look very wrong. Instead, try Kenny Kong's tracks (
http://www.kennysmodeltank.com/page/acc ... page2.html) or a set from Impact (
http://www.mitosal.com/M26Pershing.html or
http://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/kata ... :3010.html). Both make the correct sprocket and have solid reputations for making good gear.
If you want to go all out and cost is no issue, AFV model makes a nice track/sprocket set (
http://www.afv-model.com/4711shop/produ ... cts_id=165).
AFV and Impact both make their setups for Tamiya. So, you may have to tweak your HL drive shaft to make them work. I don't know about Kenny's sprockets. You'd have to email and ask him.
