I have been traveling a lot recently so haven't had much time for modelling. However I have had plenty of time researching and CAD modelling. Whilst looking up pictures for my M50 I came across this-

Grew up watching Blue Peter so I'm a demon with a hot glue gun and the 3D printer is just a glorified computer controlled hot glue gun.

Neatly done, how will the elevation work, I am guessing that it will have to be servo powered unless you have come up with an ingenious solution involving a Heng Long unit??

Haven't thought that far ahead. Maybe something with the HL Sherman unit.

I only started this as something to do on my laptop while I was away from home. I may just finish the outside then sell it and let someone else sort out the inner gubbins.

For elevation have you considered mounting a servo in the turret?
You could solid mount the servo body to the elevating part of the turret and then just attach the servo arm to the rotating part of the turret and bob's your uncle you have a working elevation.
If the elevating part is well balanced you could proberly get away with only using a small metal geared micro servo therefore taking up hardly any room and maybe leaving room for a working recoil?.
A modern version of this would maybe the mowag used by sweden in the 70's and 80's with a 20mm (1000 rds per minute) KAA cannon in place. she was beautifull and smooth to fire and you could almost snipe with it at 1500 metres (It was one of the reasons I got my nickname) god that was a while ago.
