R/C Centaur pictures now and others

Post by geoff »

Hi just finished a 1/16th Centaur CS with Taigen 2.4ghz electronics. Correctly spaced and drilled roadwheels, all usual tank functions, bb firing, turret mg light up/sound, smoke. Finished as 'Hunter' ( used Tamiya 1/35 kit to scale up ) turret degree markings, Commander figure and unique colour scheme of the Royal Marines who used these tanks at D Day and carried on going inland looking for targets of opportunity for some days after D Day. Hi Geoff, It sounds more like a Centaur that you have done rather than Cromwell CS.
In fact the Tamiya kit of Hunter is a Centaur.

The Centaurs were quite similar to the Cromwell but had different engines etc.

There were a load of them used by the Royal Marines during D-Day.

I totally agree with you it is really a Centaur the Tamiya 1/35 kit calls it a Cromwell and to most it looks like one with just a funny barrel. But you are right and I will post pictures, is was up for sale on Ebay last week so it might be possible to see it still? I'm in hospital tomorrow so it might be a couple of weeks before I can put pictures on, build as well. Geoff

I think that covers it. On the app, click on the chain (or link) icon and select the img code like. Paste it in here.
