Been away a lot recently so I've not had much time for building but I have had plenty of time to design stuff on my laptop-





Its not R/C but I'm designing it so it can easily be converted. Guess I'll have to make the canvas cover or have a load of gear in the back to cover a battery etc.

Could the leaf springs be done in metal so the suspension could move?

Jack I think that TAMIYA use carbon fibre in the updated Tiger 1's torsion bar suspension and in such small scale they would probably have used a 3D scanner, If they did then that is the way forward for indestructible Tanks and stressed parts. shaun

Looking good Woz, one thing I want to do at some point is get hold of some scale tyres and make rims to fit, get the best of both worlds that way, 3D wheels in any design and nicely detailed, with rubber tyres.

Once the Long Tom is completed, a truck will be on my list, there is one that I have always wanted and now I have the means to make it. Keep the pics coming, they are an excellent source of ideas.

I might try Ninja Flex for tyres sometime in the future.

The ability to print your own kits is the main reason I got a printer. Just wish I had more free time.

I have tried this, it's free and runs on an Android tablet. It does everything that Openscad does, and interestingly it renders quickly too. It may be awkward using an on screen keyboard, but as I have a bluetooth keyboard on my Kindle it's a breeze. I tested it with existing files and it was 100% compatible, so I can't fault it really.
