Alex Shlahkter RIP

Hi,

Alex Shlahkter passed away last night at the age of 48. He leaves a wife, Olga and two daughters.

For those of you who don't know the name, Alex was the creator of the 1/8, 1/6 and 1/4 scale tanks sold in the UK by Mark 1 Tank. He was truly a giant in the model tank world and has probably done more than anybody else in the world to make tanking what it is today.

Though the man is gone, his models will speak for him for many years to come, in the hands of model makers the world over and he will be greatly missed.
