And, no- I've never had one of these little critters. However, I have had wild snakes (kept over the winter and released come spring) and currently have a turtle (for the last 20 years) using this system. I've also had geckos and newts (although I admit your little beast has me thinking of getting another pet for the house...) And the newspaper issue I know from collecting newspapers for the local no-kill shelter. And if color newsprint will make a dog sick, it will kill a small reptile....
