help need`d
hi guys I have just fitted my new taigen recoil unit in my t-34/85 but after connecting the red black black wires for recoil & elevation ,the thick red to ground & the flash unit all wired in correctly every time I turn the tank on the flash go`s without the barrel recoiling & the headlight stops working , iff I unplug the red, black ,black wires for the recoil unit the headlight works ,grrrrr!!

Re: help need`d
Check the following back to the 8 pin socket to isolate the crossed wires.
Lights - Pins 6 & 7.
Machine Gun - Pins 6 & 8.
Turret Rotation - Pins 1 & 2.
Elevation - Pins 4 & 5.
Airsoft - Pins 3 & 5.
With everything else unplugged everything on the 8 pin should work ok.
You will see that some wires seem to join together and then continue on their way, this is because some components share the same circuit.
Note from the diagram that the flash unit/recoil is entirely seperate from the 8 pin. It looks like these three wires have become crossed somewhere, as they all relate to the problem that you have.

Hi Tanker
With the taigen the trip switch wiring is swapped around to the HL so in the above diagram the pins track recoil and negative are other way round so your probably causing a short in the circuit.
Ian.

Re: help need`d
thanks guys ,it is the new heng long 2.4ghz unit not the rx 18 & the taigen recoil unit plugs in to a 3 pin socket , next to two pin socket for turret motor, both in front of 8 pin socket on hull top, it is set up counting pins numbered right to left so lights & m/g are pins 123, recoil+ pin 4, recoil - pin 5, elevation - pin 6, turret motor pins 7&8, going from right to left as you look at it, like the taigen t34/85 set up , every thing else works ok sound , smoke, rear light turret turn, forwards & backwards on the tracks & track recoil when the k button is pressed ,tanker 242

ps if counting left to right on the 8 pin in hull top then two pin plug & 3pin plug in front of 8 pin plug, wires 1&2 turret motor, pins 3,4,5, recoil unit, air soft negative pin 3, elevation negative pin4, recoil & elevation positive pin 5, lights &m/g pins 6,7,8 , forgot to add in previous post m/g works as well as everything else ,tanker 242

Re: help need`d
I have just installed one of these in my HL Walker Bulldog, haven't connected it yet but assume 12 RL is for the two rear red lamps. But does the live red wire go on the left or right pin? Also the un-used section on the right, am I right in assuming it's for IR battle system?wibblywobbly wrote:Is this what yours looks like?

Re: help need`d
hi tony the red wire go`s to the left pin on 12RL [your left as you look at it ] IR is port 2 at the top , the only ones not used are the smoker switch & speaker switch as they are now on the HL2.4ghz transmitter where the crystal used to be & the flash unit plugs into port 3m/g tanker 242
