Post by jarndice »

Some of you will know that I have had problems with "TANKZONE"!
So if I wanted to buy a "CLARK" board would the "HENG LONG SHOP" in Germany sell it to me or refer me to Tankzone? shaun

Thank you Michael, I shall avoid the American site, I always seem to discover that the postage is greater than the value of the product, :O
And as to OZ ARMOR I have had a most satisfactory series of purchases from them in the past.
Unfortunately they in common with most people dealing with Chinese companies have no stock until the conclusion of the Chinese holidays. shaun

I think you will find that Clark, in keeping with most manufacturers grants sole distribution rights to the distributor in each country. Hence no one except Tankzone can sell the boards in the UK, and the same applies in other countries. Likewise, each distributor agrees not to sell outside of their own territory. That way a distributor can sell them for the local market rate, knowing that customers cannot go elsewhere to buy where they are cheaper. We all used to get them directly from Clark for way less than Tankzone sells them, but that came to a sad end.

I seem to recall reading that the Singapore distributor pretty much doubled the price when he was appointed, but I have no way of confirming it.

The UK market is the smallest on the planet for Clark, they sell like hot cakes everywhere else.

Now all of that said, there is a loophole in the supply chain, if you PM me, and depending on which board you want, I may be able to point you in the right directon, if the right direction hasn't already contacted you. lol.

I don't know about TankZone, but there is definitely multiple suppliers IN North America, and I know for a fact that Ozarmour also shipped to Canada as well. So unless there is something different about UK, it is pretty well wide open. Having said that, the prices are generally the same (around $100 local currency) so it really doesn't matter where you are buying it from.

Gentlemen I thank you for your help, I am inclined to try OZARMOR for two good reasons, one, My finances will be all the better mid month which is when OZARMOR should have restocked, and two, I have dealt with OZARMOR in the past with most satisfactory results BUT ROB I may yet direct a megaphone in the general direction of the West Country, yet again Thank You.  shaun
