More power for my KT

Post by madbadger »

Hi everyone, running my KT (impact gearboxes, impact metal heavy duty tracks) on the grass in my garden, shes struggling to turn round. I have standard Tamiya 380 motors, can anyone suggest a type of bigger motor to give me more power, i have a 4600mah battery so running time isnt a issue..

cheers

Hi Jamara 480 are faster and more torque but will need Tamiya DmD to run them or el-mod heng long will blow the boards .If you want something you can use heng long boards speed 400 7,2v but you will need a fan .

hi Pete, im using a heng long RX14  board which i have fitted heat sinks and a cooling fan, i may try the 480's how much room do they take up? are they much bigger than the 380 motors? i am running Impact Tu's which are a snug fit in the hull, also do the 480's have the same diameter shaft as the 380's

regards
