Flysky (Frsky) FS 6 channel for tanks

Post by puramo »

Hello

never bought an rc tank Tx before :D (have a tamiya 1/35 but unfortunately you cannot (as far as I know) bind it to any other receiver otherwise it would be perfect)

but I use a Flysky 2 channel for my RC cars and love it and it has been very reliable and dirt cheap
so I'm v interested in the FS 6 channel

how easy is it to set up for tank driving and sounds ??? ??? ???

something that is identical in function to the Tamiya 1/35 Tx system would be a dream for me
tank control is on the Left, turret and gun elevation on the Right
and there are 2 buttons, one for cannon and MG and 2 buttons for changing vol and programme features
then a trim

any feedback would be great
(I see the 9XR, but all set up they are a little pricey for me.... )
BC: I couldn't do that. Could you do that? Why can they do it? Who are those guys?

Have you looked at rctanks Australia? There pretty cheap and come setup, and the 9xr it's great!

Yes I did
but the new set up version is close to 200 aud with a module and then plus shipping,
sure it's a good choice but never having used it I don't really know what to expect yet and
having used Flsky for over 4 years and never a glitch plus dirt cheap Rx and really tiny
- I still feel I want to put them first if others have good experience using them for tanks

thanks for your input
The way this guy has this setup for his tank is perfect imo (but do I really need 9x, I think 6x would do no...)

I sell the FlySky FS CT6B with the IBU2, like you say it is very cheap and I've not had any issues with it but I got to admit can be a pain to pair with the tank electronics and that's with my experience.

What electronics are you planning to use with the radio?

Tankbear
thanks for the shared experience

'what elecronics' - good question
well I have 3 main projects I'm narrowing down
one is with an FO Tamiya
one is with and old single motor Tamiya
one is with a HL using a T2000 dmd and 2x540 motors and the HL 2.4ghz board

whichever comes up first as a better deal I'll probably go with, allready missed a few auctions, but usually patience pays off.....

I have this tx with my IBU2. It does the job perfectly. Stills needs self centering on the left stick, but it's not a huge problem.

Binding them is a slightly off the wall process, but as long as the correct process is followed 100% it works.
