E-25 Tank Destroyer Build Thread

Post by Merlin707 »

I'm looking forward to receiving my new E-25 kit from Chris Ludwig.

I wanted a tank destroyer but was never interested in the Stug which seemed to be the only one on offer until I started looking at the Ludwig hobby site.

I'm hoping to utilise the following paintscheme when it's built:

I can't wait for it to be delivered now very excited to say the least.

AA Gepard,
Chris ludwig..is the Forum member Chris3... and advertises in the main banner..
This is his site in German ..

(You can access it through a googlesearch and obtain a translation .....)
His range of Kits are made by himself on his own CNC machine after months of research and design. They are available in plastic or in metal depending upon the tank.
The details of the E-25 are also available through a Google search...it was one of a proposed line of standardised German tanks..

Can't wait to see the unboxing as it should give me insight as to what I'll face when I get my Jagdtiger from him.

This should be good!

Well here's the unboxing I promised of my E-25 kit.

Image
Upper Hull in plastic.
Image
Lower Hull in metal.
Image
10 road wheels, inners are plastic, these are twice the size of King Tiger wheels.
Image
Canon with armour plate.
Image
Custom muzzle brake :)
Image
King Tiger tracks, decided on these as they are wider and will make the tank look more menacing.

Unfortunately this kit did not come with instructions, has anybody on here have any advice or guidance on how to best start to tackle this project?
I have a few ideas but would like a bit of help just to clarify a few points.
The kit also came with full Torsion bar suspension & Henntec track adjuster.

Thanks

Twice the size of King Tiger road wheels? WOW they must be huge! This thing is still 1/16th scale correct? Thats a good looking kit. Contact Christian I'm sure he'd be able to provide help in building it.
