Lert's old Tamiya King Tiger

Some might remember this old topic.

Inspired by this thread and having my airbrush back I got some work done on the old KT. I:

- Took her apart
- Threw the damaged plastic barrel away
- Fitted replacement headlight and exhausts
- Fitted mesh screens on the vents on the engine deck
- Basecoated the whole thing
- Put some basic camo on



I decided to go with large 'giraffe' spots of brown with green border. It looks a bit boring now but I figure with all the tools, spare track links and weathering it's going to look rather striking and unique.

I put this in 'other builds' rather than 'Tamiya builds' because all that's going to be Tamiya about this tank is 80% of the externals, everything else is going to be third-party.

That is a striking pattern. As you have noted, awaiting the full set of details to really set it off.
