Further Help Required re Tamiya KT setup

Post by Awins »

Further to my previous post Im still not having much luck regarding the set up. I am using a Planet T5 and a Planet R6M receiver.
Does anyone know which leads marked CH1 CH2 CH3 etc should be connected to which position on the receiver marked B 1 2 3 4 5 6.
Also I still cannot find a way to make the tank start as if it was being hand cranked. All the combinations that I have tried only allow it to start in normal starter motor mode.
Thanks guys

Hi Awins, I think you could probably have dealt with this in the other thread. Changing your channel leads around won't make any difference, as I said before I think this is something to do with the planet t5.

The only tank the have manual power up in the Tamiya range is the leopard 2. The kv-1/2, is-2 and Pershing will let you Rev the engine before putting it into drive but still automatically start up.

Does you tanks engine noises power down normally when you switch the tx off?

Tom is right the Planet is a bit hit and miss with the Tamiya set up, I used to have a Tam Panther and it took many attempts to get it working how I wanted it to.

Of course, you could always sell the Tam MFU kit on Ebay and buy different electronics for it. The aftermarket boards have so many features nowadays that making the switch would be pretty cheap?

Thank you, I will give this combination a try. Odd though that the Planet does this. Any ideas as to why it does this.
Cheers once again thank you.
