I've seen this before but can't get anyone to say if the trim switches actually work or if they are glued in place.

Re: new HL.controller
Well since the left stick is a multu function stick you can't really have trim like a hobby grade radio. Funny enough it does say L/R trim for the right stick but not Forward/backward trim.
Re: new HL.controller
The slightly older set would appear to be glued in place - that or they're incredibly stiff! Haven't needed to trim anyway.

Re: new HL.controller
I was just curious due to many here saying their tanks don't track in a straight line.

hi joe sometimes it seams you can get motors running at deferent speeds ? this i found is connections at the motor end the capacitors or just bad solder joints , its not mechanical but make sure the tracks not tight ? . so i un solder the wires and capacitors and just clean things re solder.. i must say i change and re solder always so that then you know you have things in order ,, as for capacitors thay can be poor one's that are fitted . 108 "are the size , if you want to change them . you can get them on line at most electronic site , hope this helps,,cheers RAY .

HI. Michael ' yes i know what you mean i have have 4 of the old type and have trimmers on right stick for forward/reverse and left/right thay do work ... some controllers dont have trimmers ? just a chinese cheapskate . but if wires and connections sound then you don't need trimmers anyway , happy tanking ,MichaelC wrote:Well since the left stick is a multu function stick you can't really have trim like a hobby grade radio. yes thay do work .. but you should not need trimmers . the motors running at deferent speeds is problem ,un solder clean things re solder motors running correctly ,just bad chinese connections i always found .Regards RAY .jtracks wrote:I've seen this before but can't get anyone to say if the trim switches actually work or if they are glued in place.

Re: new HL.controller
Thanks Ray, I have noticed a lot of poor solder joints within the tanks. As you have pointed out, some need to be fixed which I have done. I haven't had to redo motor connections but will take a good look at them again.
