Newcomer!!!

Post by Hotlipz »

Greetings to all!!!

Like many others I am new to this and I'm looking forward to my first project. I am normally a static kit modeller but I would not consider myself an expert, more an experienced amateur and certainly a novice when it comes to electronics so this should be a good challenge. I have just purchased a HL Tiger after some encouragement from a friend and it is definately in need of some TLC and upgrades. Looking forward to seeing what I can achieve. Will certainly be looking for advice and guidance along the way

Hotlipz Hi and Happy Christmas, welcome to the Forum, I would urge you before doing anything else that you scroll down to the "BLACKLIST" and after you have noted who to avoid go on to the "RECOMMENDED" dealers list, these are people with whom you can spend your hard earned on upgrades or indeed complete Tanks which is what we do. Any questions please ask and if you know stuff please let us know. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Welcome, Tiger is a good choice, many started with the Tiger ,and many versions and upgrade options are available. Possibly viewing the site link below may assist you in learning about the Tiger and choosing a version, unit and theatre of operations to model. Helps create a vision for your build and a guide to follow.

Merry Christmas as well,cheers http://www.alanhamby.com/tiger.html

Ohh, the shock, a Tiger to start your destined path of details, financial juggling, and ultimate satisfaction :haha: :haha:

Like has been said, look into the good, the bad, and the helpful vendors section.
Also take the time to look back through the many pages of wonderful builds in each section. Sure helps to get ideas, techniques and advice from those gone before.

As I do, I address felow posters as 'Mr' - username out of respect for the life and indentity they have behind the public declarations in here. If you happen to be a "Mrs"- Hotlipz or indeed a serving member of the Rolling Stones, I'm sure you will correct any incorrect reference :eh:

Welcome in, please post as many pictures as you can, so we dont have to read so much !!

Hi Hotlipz and welcome. I am a recent recruit myself and the help and advice from everyone has been fantastic so you are in good company. Also started with a Tiger but mine was a 'spares or repair' that is almost working thanks to everyone's help. Happy festive season. Alwyn

Welcome to the forum, there is something here for everybody, no matter what level you are at or where you want to go. You won't be short of advice and help on a Tiger, I think everyone has had one at some point or another.

Happy New Year, and don't forget the pics, we love pics.
