waltersons gearboxes

hello, does anyone know how to contact waltersons where they will e-mail ya back? have new set of gearboxes, 32mm long shafts, and one has defective machining. have e-mailed them with no answer. want to know their warranty. thank you once again.ps. anyone know which of the three pinion gears is high, and which is low? haven't changed them yet oblivously.instructions say nothing. have largest gear on motors now.will climb anything it will get traction on,and thats fun!thanx.

Hi Jeff, If you are a UK resident and bought these from a UK based dealer then your first port of call is with the dealer, (the product not complying with the TRADES DESCRIPTION ACT, being of faulty manufacture) (PRODUCT NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE) If the product was bought from an overseas dealer did you pay with PAY-PAL? If so contact them and get your money back,If you paid with a credit card you can claim your money back and if the transaction was over £100 your debit card provider will also be obliged to do the right thing. If you live outside the UK check with your local trading laws, many States in the USA have consumer protection laws in place and a lot of other countries have similar protection in place.What you do not want is to get into an arguement with a Chinese corporation in their ball park. good luck and let us know how you get on. shaun
PS FORGEBEAR sells WALTERSONs gearboxes in the UK and Dave is very helpful and may be able to offer useful advise.

thanx for the info jarndice, iam in oregon, usa of course. the company is in hong kong all right,they seem to be trying to work with me. i dont understand why waltersons has not even sent me any response seeings as if you read their home page they make themselves out as a company that takes pride in their products. oh well, the company i bought it from says they are gonna see if waltersons has another in stock they can send me. i would think they would have a few! thank you-all once again, jeff.

hello everyone, the company in hong kong that i bought defective waltersons gearbox from finnaly contacted me this am and they are sending new gearbox, and paying shipping to send old one back. took awhile, but it works for me. btw, i installed one of those black taigen shooting units in my panther-g.like a dummie, i was trying to put old rubber sleeve into new unit,not realizing it had new one in it already!hours of qeustions and headaches later,it is in and kicking butt! more power than stock heng long for sure, shot it off kitchen table a few times, they richoceted all over dinning room till wife got mad then handed me a broom.i sprayed wd-40 on all the motors in turrent and shooting unit, made louder sound and performancs. used super lube on turrent pivot points and all gears, WOW, NEVER MOVED AS FAST AND SMOOTH! raining too hard to take outside now, can't wait to run it around some,jeff.

hello you-all i hope your new year is good to you. wanted to say the company that sent me a defective waltersons gearboxes hhas made everything right. new set they sent seem to much better quality control then other set. first set was very tight and one side had defective teeth on pinion and secondary gears. new set is what i was expecting when i first ordered them. smooth as glass.getting ready to install them in new metal hull my wife got me for x-mas. a tiagen hull,by the way. have one more new tiagen shooting unit left, gonna biuld it back up from bottom to top. need to order mini allen set. thanx for reading all for now, jeff.
