Brian,
I use this one. Medium price range but great illumination and magnification. I couldn't do the tiny drilling and detailing without it ( not to mention 1/35 and 1/72 kits anymore )
regards,
Painless

Brian,
LED is certainly cheaper to use and unless a colored LED is specified, will provide a clear, bright, bluish white light. Multiple LED lamps may be a bit much for older eyes and prolonged exposure but per individual, your mileage may vary. ;o) My lamp is older and uses a fluorescent which simulates natural daylight. Time and testing different types have proven _for me_ that this is easiest on my eyes for long usage and items painted under it generally look the same when on display. The Pluses are many for either type.
regards,
Painless

Brian Hi, this is a bit involved but it is the best table/desk/magnifier/lamp I have ever owned and right now it is on offer, I cannot recommend this too highly, go to www.robertdyas.co.uk
click on DEPARTMENT,
click on LIGHTING,
click on INDOOR LIGHTING,
click on TABLE and DESK LAMPS,
go to sub page 2,
scroll down 3 lines it is the one on the right.
On sale for £19.99 worth every penny.  :thumbup and you can buy it on line or if you have one of their stores near by get it from there.shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
