leopard rubber tracks

what do you guys think of the rubber metal tracks for the leopard. are they worth it or should I stay with my all metal tracks I have now.

If you have the metal tracks already I wouldn't bother. I started off with the plastic tracks and ripped them after 5 minutes on a carpeted surface. I then got the metal tracks with plastic pads and at first they were flying off all over the place and so I went and got a whole bunch of spare pads, but two battle days later, I can count on one finger the number of pads that flew off. Even though they don't fly off anymore I still don't think it was worth it. I almost ordered the all metal tracks after pads start flying off.

Everything that Michael has said, I resorted to gluing every pad on with cyna, they still came of, plan B, stripped metal tracks down completely, re-glued using Gorilla glue, guess what ? they still come off, plan C remove all rubber pads Leopard now driving around with out them.

I'm other way round had mine on for 6 months or so and only a few have come off. No glue used.

I guess depends on the surface you run on, mine grass, vinyl/wood floor and asphalt. Not tried dirt/mud yet.

I got to say the metal/rubber tracks on asphalt give a realistic action, plenty of power to slide.

Just for the record, I did not glue mine in. The worst was on dirt and gravel where I lost 4-5 pads in an hour. The two battle days, one on grass but I didn't run it that hard and lost 1-2, the other one on hardwood floor and I lost 1 pad. The situation has definitely settle down for me once I run it in. Having say that I do check them once in a while and sometime you can tell when they are coming off soon and I just slid them back in.

I have to agree with Tankbear though, for realism it is the closest thing to the real deal, especially if you have the full metal boggies.
