CanAm Tank Club Xmas get together and Battleday!

Post by dgsselkirk »

Greetings guys!

We had our 2nd annual get together and battleday was held at the Schawben Club (a German club here in town). Great day was had by all! Draught beer, schnitzel for lunch and our usual banter and battle after! I will be getting back to my Panther this week for those of you who are wondering why I didn't do anything this week. To busy tuning up tanks for battleday! :D
Here are some videos....

WOW! Looks like great fun Dgsellkirk...chandeliers and all :D

Do you all actually battle in those surroundings?....man it just looks too relaxing...I would probably be sat down next to the bar...running my tank would be a dangerous thing to do :haha:

HAPPY HOLIDAYS my Friend

Thanks to dgsselkirk for setting this up.

It was an interesting experience to operate the tank, while sitting at a table with a large mug of beer on the table.

Some thing we cannot do at our outdoor field ;)

Just had one, though, otherwise, I would have needed a nap. :{ :haha:

Needed something to wash down the ample lunch of schnitzel, mashed potatoes and veggies down.

ALPHA, it was mostly get together, show off some tanks and talk shop. The battles are mostly just hack around and not too serious. Great fun though. I am just glad it is not carpeted as it would be hell on some of my one off tanks like the Maus. The beer and schnitzel helps.

Looking good, and a bit more cosy than the freezing scout club halls that we have over here, maybe we should ask the local Hilton if we can use their ballroom? :P

One thing I have learned in sales and purchasing, you never know what you can get and what you can get it for till you ask! I always play the "we are a poor little club and all our money goes to tanks so we don't have much left over." They like us as we are in at 9:00 and out by 5 with no set up required by them at all. It's not free but it's reasonable for the 15 to 20 we get out for these things. I also make sure I send them pics and video of our club and usually curiosity gets the better of them! :D

If you do it in the same place next time....how about some Tuxedos :haha: It would make for a great group shot under those chandeliers :D
