Speed control
Afternoon! Quick question, concerning Heng long tanks, can the speed be controlled? Is the speed controlled by pressure applied to the Control or is it one speed. So if you press forward will it just go flat out or can you actually get the tank to go slower, kind of like a real ww2 tank would have? Cheers!

Re: Speed control
If it is an older heng long worth the rx13 control board in there were just 2 speeds fast and faster! The newer heng longs with the rx18 have proportional control so they go faster the more you push the stick, and if you get upgrades internal ie new gearboxes and mother board the control of speed / turning is even more precise/ smooth, hope that helps dude

This will be an interesting topic to read Desert....Because the Majority of my Tanks are HL....and I can make mine crawl...gain ...and rip ...even the ones with the old "board"...the only ones that don't ...and I still have a couple...are the basic HLs...Those to me are fun... and I don't have plans to upgrade them

Re: Speed control
Yeah the rx18 is better and if you ever want to upgrade your mother board/ gearbox/ turret etc the rx 18 just unplugs so its alot easier to remove or replace, if you need any more help feel free to ask, there's alot of really helpful guys on here, let us know what you get!

Re: Speed control
Depends what you are looking for, and how deep your pockets are. In order of cheap to expensive, the more you spend the more realistic it gets.
RX18 and light pressure on stick.
Low Ratio Gearboxes.
Clark Board.
IBU Board
Elmod Board
So that's £15 to almost £200 covered then.
