Mark one 1/6 scale King Tiger

Post by 6705russell »

Hi all

I have a 1/6 scale King tiger that needs some work doing to it over the winter, are spares readily available for these, I need spare track links etc?

As far as I'm aware, Mark is still supporting these models and should be able to provide the spares you need, or do a full service for you if you require.

After much deliberation last night I have decided to sell it on, it's to big for me I think...

Russell's loss is my gain, so this KT has a new home, as of this evening.

I'll start a new thread once I've taken a few piccies.

Adrian, check out Icemonkey's modifications. really make a big difference in the hull stability and running.Track alignment and wheels alignment.

Cliff has done a great job restoring and upgrading his KT.

Yup, been speaking with Cliff by PM :D

The intention is to build a whole new lower hull from aluminium, then upgrade the suspension to use a fully adjustable torsion bar system.

The hull upper and turret will remain stock, with the ravages of time repaired, and a new paint job to cover all the work :haha:

The problem with the stock Mark 1 lower hulls is that over time all the weight makes the wheels splay out ,so either block the lower hull up so its not bearing any weight on the tracks when parked up for a long time or, as you are go the metal hull route 8)
