Coufued Newbie Please Help

Post by Awins »

Hi Guys,
I am so confused as to what I need in the way of radio gear for my Tamiya King Tiger. Please can anyone advise or recommend what I need for this kit. Obviously 4channels but would I need any more for additional features later on.
I see various makes and various prices but as a complete nebie want a good easy to setup reliable radio.
Thank you for your help.
I am not retreating, but simply advancing in another direction!!!

If your new to tanks the Planet T5 will control your Tamiya perfectly, without the hassle of complicated menus or computer programing.

By far the best bet at around 55quid. youcan even get an easy fix mod for self centering both sticks. I doubt you will feel the need to add much to what you get with Tamiya control and you will still have a channel free if you do.

Hi,
Yep the Planet T5 is a great radio. I myself tend to stick with one of the Futarba 4ch 40mhz or 2.4ghz they do 2 radios both with analog trims witch is what you need to use all the functions on the tank. Brian...

Don't forget that you need a receiver as well if the radio doesn't come with one. Personally I used the Spektrum DX6i.

Bilpe makes a good point about the receiver which is why it pays to shop around for a deal that includes the receiver, this is where E-BAY is your friend. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
