Hi Raven I got that barrel off of welsh dragon models for my panzer IV and was disapointed first it will not fire bbs and secondly its not the correst shape it should be thicker at the mantlet it was probably made that way to make it easier to fit. ???

if you replace the barrel maybe you are supposed to replace the recoil unit as-well ?, I'm sure i read on one of the trader sites you can buy the barrel mantlet and recoil unit as one, or you might need to put a collar around the base of the barrel, i,m just guessing so hopefully someone can give you some better help.......

i dont think that any of the replacement metal barrels will fire bb's steviebhoy. like Tony said raven, you may need to make a collar to go round the base of the gun so you can fit the barrel, i think the only other alternative is to use the origanal barrel and send the metal one back, sorry to be the bearer of not so good news

the barrel fits in perfect its just the collar is the problem i dont have any tools to make one if its possible it has a very thin collar maybe the only way is the barrel needs to be machined down a bit

could you get some brass tube with the same internal diameter of the barrel at the collar with the correct outside diameter then glue it over the barrel

Hi Raven try B&Q for some plastic tube or metal they normaly have a good selection .Dont glue it to the barrel its part of the recoil the barrel is to slide in it ,it needs fixing to the mantle.
