are tamiya the pits

Post by cannedheat »

firstly chaps ......no falling out getting personnel..... its just personnel opinions ......
8 or more weeks ago, bits from Tamiya were ordered thru forgebear for the e sprue and turret ete to complete IDFm51 shermans now dave has chased these parts the last 3 weeks because eta arrived, and went ,we have since learnt they will be a the bear,s Tuesday ? then to me Friday, monday ?this then puts it at nigh on ten weeks I ask you ,to use a frase from the colonies it freeking sucks ,what is req is for the likes of hl mato to do after market bits and a hvss suspension to be able to fit to the mato hull , then more scope for the shermanholics out there
one is not amused as our late queen victoria used to say ......wot wot ......

Not to disrespect Forgebear, but if you'd gone to http://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/ you could get those sprues in a few days.

Yeah, he's good too. Got some KT sprues off him although had to pay duties on it to Parcel Force before they'd deliver.

I usually find If I message Jasons store asking for bits he dose not have I get a short message back saying no he does not have them.

Then I wait four weeks watching his store......... and low and behold he then has some!!

That's how I got my E-sprue.

If you all message him asking for the same parts I bet they turn up on his page pronto! :)

Another source thats always helpful is to contact http://shop.aaftankmuseum.com/SearchRes ... p?Cat=1837

Expect to pay high shipping and import into Europe though!

Yep CH your right I went on Jason's site every 2 days never had the E-Sprue in stock or the turret roller bag. Yes JS is good but even he goes out of stock sometimes. So with any luck we should have our M51's done very soon :/ .Brian...
