Well JohnF and Saxon are still around.... figure with tanks of that size you can only have so many before it starts to overtake ............everythingdgsselkirk wrote:Honestly I think the big boys are somewhere else now...

Re: All Quiet
Good evening:
I recently purchased an 21st Century Stuart. My plan is modify it to make it less of a toy and more of a model. I went this route as a test before making the big $$$$$ commitment that "real" 1:6 scale models involve.
Currently I am working on the suspension (making wheel bushings out of tubing, trying different spring tensions) then I will move on to the motors and gearboxes.
My question is can you recommend or give me any ideas for electronics to replace the radio it came with. This is one area where I am really weak.
Thanks for your time and help.

Re: All Quiet
Kind of regret not getting one of those...the Walmart here had them on close out for 150 dollars... wasn't into RC tanks back then so I passed on it because of it's size... now they sell for over 400thestig wrote:Good evening:

Good Morning,
Beautiful work on the Stuart! I have one that has been on the back burner for a while as I collected parts for it. 2015 is going to be the year that I devote to it.
regards,
Painless

Re: All Quiet
I've got my Armortek 222 back in Feb and the motion pack just showed up recently, but not touching it until my Tiger is done.

I have one of the styrene 222's I have started awhile ago. Kind of stalled on it due to suspension etc
