IBU2 board compatibility in an Torro SturmTiger

Hi guys.

Does anyone of you know if the IBU2 boards will fit my Torro Sturm Tiger?

It says on rctank.de, that it should.

Problem is: my tank is an airsoft version - is it possible to add the IR function also? I have seen some tanks with an added IR unit mounted on the barrel or in the front?

Also: does it work with my Torro/Taigen 2,4Ghz remote? Will all the functions Work? Or is a new remote required?

Hey dude, the IBU2 should plug straight in but you will need a new transmitter and receiver ( I use a turnigy 9xr Tx/Rx from rctanks Australia) as for the bb/ ir combo it will have to be one or other unless your pretty handy with rewiring or want to swap the plugs over every time you want to use one function or the other, as for wiring to use both simultaneously it's beyond my skill level am afraid!

yes the IBU2 will work in your Torro Tank. Its a relatively simple switch out as well. Anybody of any skill level should be able to replace the existing electronics with an IBU2 and get great results.
It won't work with existing Torro radios and you will need a hobby grade radio. If your spending money on a Torro there isn't much else that will bring it to this level.

Hi Have IBU fitted to my Tiger great engine sounds ,ask them if they have the Sturm gun sounds they will preload it for you so it is plug and play.
