How to install Taigen/Asiatam idlers on a Tiger 1?

Post by Marc780 »

I bought these idlers from someone else on the forum to go with my metal tracks i just got for my Tiger 1:

These are somebody else's photos,

They look like new and everything's there except i don't know how to put them on! I have looked everywhere including here for how to install this and I can't find a post that shows how. The plate that comes with it looks big enough to go over the plastic hull where the idler arm would come out. But everybody that's showed how they installed on their tank that I''ve found, it shows they put this plate on the INSIDE...so why the giant circular hole in the plate if it goes there?

And if you are familiar with these parts, there's two indents cast into the part where the metal plate would go over IF you put that on the inside...and the giant hole doesn't fit over the indents. You'd have to grind something off first and that doesn't seem right at all. I don't want to drill any holes in the tank until i know how this goes on...! Can anybody please help with this or point me to a link?
