Machine gun

Post by afv »

here's one i thought i'd have a go at,
took the plastic machine gun out and drilled down the centre with a few micro drills, ending up with a hole 1mm dia,
put some 1mm fibre optic cable through the barrel so that about 1mm sticks out the end,
slightly roughed up the 1mm that sticks out so transmits light to the side as well as the front, and fitted to the hull with enough fibre optic out the back of the gun to reach three quarters the way down the tank, it's long because i'll use the original wiring from the turret machine gun led and the led
removed the led and made a light box using different sizes of heat shrink
done a rough coupling up and it seem to work fine
posted a few pictures, probably make more sense than i've done

regards Jack.
