Tidying the loft today and found these

Tidiyng the loft today I came across a couple of old toys of mine lol so was so surprised at finding them did anyone else have these 80's toys ? Pics of my meccano but I forgot to take pics of my triang train set and old corgi cars lol so let's see what they fetch on gumtree and preloved as I'm never going to use them again




What I surprise find !!

My friend took some of his old meccano boxes to a toy fair just to see if they were worth anything and people were fighting each other to look inside. He got offered £50 just for one part and a few hundred for the each box.

It may be worth doing a google search first as some rare parts can get a lot of money where as incomplete boxes don't.

Reminds me of what's called an Erector set over here. And I agree they can fetch a good amount of money.

Just a find when tidying as well as my corgi cars and my triang train set as I'm now 45 lol forgot I had them in good order as well ,maybe worth a google search

Wow Horses you found a gold mine of old toys....I didn't have that set in particular more like what.Jack mentioned.. I had the semi deluxe erector set... it was deemed to dangerous for kidlets ... so it went out of production...If your Corgis are the Superhero series...they are worth a good dollar...the Green Hornet's "Black Beauty " in primo condition can go for 500 Us ...almost the same for the old Batmobile Batcycle..Batboat ....James bond's Austin Martin...the original version can command up to 400 solid ... the new version less. .

Great find.. Personally I'd keep them ...let your kidlets have them ...with luck they will only increase in value... and perhaps even become heirlooms
