1st build,

Post by Farehamtiger »

Hi, new here and this is my first build , the last time I built a model of any size was when I was still at school. Many many many moons ago..... I got back into it when I brought a second hand basic 1/16 heng long tiger of eBay and found that there was stacks of up grades , so decided to up grade, new RX18, smoke, sound, and metal gears were added. And that was me hooked. Next was a new air brush and compressor and paints was purchased. Found a box of bits ( almost complete tiger 1 which had been butchered.) next was told by a loving partner not in here ,try the shed. So two days clearing said shed out and trips to the dump, I now have granddads work shop as my young grandson told the good lady... Got into the box of bits and this what I came up with. Sound, smoke , BB firing and recoil on the tracks when the sound off the main armament button is pressed . I would love any feed back and any ideas for my next project ( the full metal jacket, taigen lower hull, taigen tracks, wheels and gears with a taigen turret with flash and recoil.) which I will post reviews as I go. So what do you think. ( remember it was the 70s when I last did any thing like this.)

WELCOME, A roundabout way to introduce your self but anyway HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all I hope you have scrolled down and read the BLACKLIST? This is where we go when we want to be ripped off BUT if we are looking for good deals at fair prices from honest dealers we go to the RECOMMENDED VENDORS site, as to the problem with down loading photographs I would suggest you go to the TIPs & TRICKs page and the first entry will talk you through it, if you still have problems, then if you look at the top right of this page and type in the search box "Downloading photographs", click on that and you will get pages of help, just click on the item that matches your need and your in business. enjoy this return to childhood, we do. Any problems ASK, and if you know stuff please tell us. shaun

Welcome Farehamtiger... I've found the best way to load pictures to the board is to use photo bucket or some kind of media site...as resizing the file is easier than photoshopping it on your computer....once you open one of those types of accounts..once the image is downloaded....it's as easy as copy and paste to get it here
;)

Enjoy the Adventure

Welcome my friend to the bottomless pit. You sound like me, I just started into this a year and a half ago after 35 years away from building models. I still had all my "stuff" in boxes and as soon as I started tinkering God, how I missed it! :haha:
And just like it was then it's just as addictive now! Have fun!
