A new job remodeling a Stug

Post by Edwin »

Hello,

I build again in a Stug on behalf of all the technology and to developing this conversion also exactly the right speaker, a use for battery and electronics and a tube rocker with side direction of servo operation.

The Bassis for the conversion I have already contacted me. A Stug with metal hull.

Image

I started with the construction of the speaker. At the weekend I was with my printer on the Experts' in Mainz, where I ever designed and printed the first prototype.

To such a seemingly simple components in a tub fit perfectly You usually need three to four prototypes, but then it sits.
The second version fits much better but still not perfect.

Therefore, the third version of the Box is currently running on my printer and now it could fit after I have now also takes into account a recess for the transmission of the pipe evolation.

Looks good Edwin but not much room left for batteries.
What size and make is that speaker?

Cheers

Hi Tim,

the speaker is a Visaton FSR 8 with 8cm diameter

In this conversion, I will install a 4 ohm since I ausrüste the Stug with 9.6 V and 8 cells. As can be loud that you can have even heard in Munser.
If you use a smaller battery you need a 8 ohm and then but has a much lower volume.

No,

The metal-Hull is from Asiatam and the upper part of HL.
Full metal makes no sense at this scale and only by the weight problems.

Overnight, the first prototype with recess for a central battery is now created.

But this is still buggy and even so I'm still not satisfied.

By the way, I started with the production of parts for the suspension and the same for multiple tanks.

I must admit I'm very tempted by the metal PzIII by mato. Apparently the weight isn't that high and the idea of being able to solder PE parts to it so they're is no chance of them popping off is appealing.
