Marky Voodoo's HL Jagdpanther.

Post by Marky Voodoo »

Evening All.

Just thought i would start another little thread on my new HL Jagpanther that arrived today!

I am very very pleased with the Panzer, and was relieved that the tank had been tested by the ebay seller dingding-UK, I even requested a different Crystal so that i could run it alongside my Sherman, and they gladly obliged. :)

The first thing that struck me about the tank is the sheers size of it!! Its a true Behemoth! Tank worked perfectly out the box, And i also purchased a couple of 2500mah batts to upgrade from the standard 1700mah ones. They make a hell of a difference and make everything perform that little bit better.

Here's a few pics.

Here's a picture of her next to my Sherman! Look at that size difference!

I thought from some of the pictures i have seen that the Jagdpanther would be a really bright vivid green... But it is infact a darker Matt colour green with a good camo scheme already. I still have lots of plans of her and will of course keep you all updated.

All the best guys.

Thanks for reading.

Good evening guys.

Thanks for all your comments!

Well tonight i started trying to tone my HL Jagdpanther down a little bit.

First of all i gave her a light coating with my airbrush of flat earth brown mixed with a tiny amount of green.. After that i got to work with the drybrushing with a flat aluminium paint. This was topped off using the Tamiya Dirt weathering stick and then some Tamiya pastels to bring out abit of discolouration/corroding.

I still have a whole load to do, But this is where she's at tonight.

I would like to add the (Excuse my lack of knowledge) Spots/ Flecks off paint on the camo. Does anyone know the best colour to use for this? And is it just a case of handpainting the spots on?

Any help really appreciated as always guys.

Mark.

Mark, I think you mean the ambush scheme. It is basically the "opposite" colour spots. So for the dark yellow area you would use green or brown spots, and for the green and brown area you would use dark yellow. I don't know of anything tools other than free hand it and it is usually the best anyway.

That looks very, very good. I'm almost a little bit jealous.
