PZ4J HL

Post by greengiant »

This is my PZ4J. Its a IR battle model with the HL mistakes corrected, rear deck slopes down now, track return rollers repositioned. I also put on metal front hatches and put all the controls and a charging plug under them. I built the extra turret armor out of styrene. The story line of the photos is the Pz has left its position to be resupplied and then is returning to battle.

Thank you. I may replace the schutzen with one made of metal as the styrene has proved to be rather delicate.

I can imagine so Giant... they look good though.. if it were a decision I had to make..maybe just change out the support struts to metal and leave the schutzen the same..or is there that much flex in them ?

Yes they are quite flexible and that flex is enough to break the door hinges unless the tank is run or handled carefully especially if the turret is turned to the side and you hit something. Also in bright sunlight they are semitransparent. Changing them isn't a big priority but something I'll do sometime in the future.

Good to know Giant... as I might look into building one in the future... I do handle my tanks quite a bit... fragile parts are definitely a concern ;)

Happy Tanking GiantImage

Thanks for the great tips
