Tamiya King Tiger Idler System Upgrade

Hi,

I am building a Tamiya King Tiger at the moment and I'm just to upgrade the idler system. I found two options. I could either go with a set of:

I have been told that "they both are a big upgrade over the stock system" but I'd like to know which one is better. Please, ignore the price differences.
Has anyone here had a chance to test both and came up with any conclusions?

I have the Shumo kit in my KT and it's faultless and super tough - you couldn't break it if you tried! I can't say about the henntec one but the stock Tamiya idler is terrible.

i have the henntec in my tamiya kt and no problems even with metal tracks so both are good really

Both are equal in quality...flip a coin ...or go with the one that costs less

Good Morning,
I have the Henntec in my HL King Tiger with metal running gear and tracks and no issues from it at all. You would be well served with either.

Hi,

I just added the Shumo to my current KT build. I have only heard bad things about the stock Idler. Install was pretty straight forward - did have to clean up the Idler to fit but not a big deal. Looks good and I cant wait to get the rest done.

Used the shumo system in my KT, fitted without a hitch and much, much better than the Tamiya system.
