M4A3E8 project

Post by EddyK »

Hi, gentlemen!
It started some months ago, when I bought at low price empty Tamiya Sherman. This is how it looked then:

As all other my tanks have Taigen 2,4 GHz system with IR battle option, I decided to insert the same system in this hull, too:

I bought from David "Forgebear" the Mato Sherman turret and place in it Jagdpanther recoil unit and high intensity flash unit:

Yesterday I made some detailing works. There's photos before:

And after:

Yes, German infantry is at the wrong place... :D

To be continued...

Good Morning, EddyK,
I love your work, Doc. Clean, neat and functional. I was chuckling about your placement of the Infantryman and then remembered that a lot of ex-Wehrmacht soldaten farmed themselves out all over the world in the years after the War ended. I don't think they were dressed in feldgrau then but the concept is sound. :o) Again, great job! with the Easy Eight.
regards,
Painless

Thanks, Painless!

I used the muzzle brake from Pershing, but it seems a little bit larger than it would be, isn't it?

EddyK,
It is possible but also the U.S. Army is to this day, a great believer of general parts usage. One item fitting on many different vehicles. ;o) Great looking redo job, Sir.

Great work Eddy, love the details on the 50 cal. Is the barrel custom ? The HL Pershing muzzle brake is large than life.

Thanks, guys!
Yes, the barrel is custom, it's jagdpanther barrel and Pershing muzzle brake... What muzzle brake could be better? Can the wise and expierenced Sherminators give me some advice? :) Thanks!
