A recoil and Evolation with servos from the printer

Post by Edwin »

Hello,

on Saturday I was in Dernbach and had a printed cannons rocker of Ferdinand with me. Since I was Michael asked if I could be so converted his HL Leo II , as it has only one cannon ball without RCC . So I have made myself time to the drawing .

Image

So yesterday was also the first part of the printer.

But still it did not fit properly. The Chinese have built the tube for some reason something out of the middle. Just so far that you can not see it at first glance .
So adapted new and today printed a new rocker.

To istallieren a RCC it is still necessary to remove the stop in the outer cladding . This is a program that takes a little with a file , but then works quite well .

Image

Likewise, the pipe end must be extended , what do I do with a brass tube that I just Stickers .

As then came the modified rocker from the printer , I had to try out this course now and it all fits perfectly .

The gun barrel runs almost without play and easily in the guide , the rocker fits perfectly to the body and into the holder and cutouts in the tower. Need to have more space for the servo only within the tower slewing ring later tewas material be removed. Even the takeaway , at the same time the rotation is working.

So I 'm going to do now finished and ready yet to improve , it can be anyone who is somewhat versed in installing his Leo .

Hi Phil,

do not deceive you, the Jack Russell and the two teenagers are also no more difficult than a 3D printer to use ..... but this is much cheaper to maintain ...... ;D

Today I have done the work done.

For the lever to power the recoil I had to make a 2mm hole through the guide sleeve and the brass tube .

Image

The lever of the linkages I have also printed easily and after I had connected the lifting mechanism provides the mechanics like this now .

Image

Inside the tower slewing ring I had to cut a little, but then everything fits wonderfully into the tower.

Image

The Evolation now works also with full deflection , although the tube still has a bit overweight. This could be adapted with a balance weight on the large servo now easily .

Image

So the tower is now back to Michael .

The parts I'll make some adjustments and expect something that must cost .

And here it goes a little further.

Yesterday, the first version of the canon rocker ran with side direction for the Jagdpanther from the printer disk. This I will still need to adjust a little and change, but they will soon be finished.

And on it goes with the HL- T34 and the ZTZ .

As Michael has already hinted at ZTZ is somewhat different than the other tanks of HL , but this is also the T34 like this.
In both of the pivot point is set forward and the axes of the rockers are superfluous.

In the T34 I have adapted ever profisorische a rocker from the Panzer III . But I will also change so that it comes out of the printer it right .

Image

What I still have to think about is how I can cannon tube on the guide zoom reasonable and extended to give a recoil is possible. Too large a movement is due to the construction of HL , however, not possible spin on the Bassis to a smaller diameter without this .

When ZTZ paßst ever manage to achieve rocker of the Panthers with the lateral direction . A small adjustment but I will also do as yet .

Image

Only the Simple tile recoil is not possible in the usual way , since HL has replicated over the gun barrel the rain cover fabric in plastic . I would have to cut and also make fabric . Since I 'm going to talk to Michael, who kindly sent me the towers . Perhaps, however, I find yet another solution to it.

Just a thought Edwin... what if you added a small spring to the barrel itself... and a stop on the recoil base ..As the gun is drawn back it till it hits the stop..the motor will continue normally.. but the spring will stretch...after reaching it's apex... the return to be facilitated by another spring slightly longer attached to a forward mount

Hi Alpha,

We in Germany are increasingly using the beier sound module. This also has two programmable servo outputs for which one can program sequences and also as a true original sequence can have no other technology only to the servo.

Hi Pete,

The prototype of the withdrawal tube with side direction is currently at a friend of the installation and everything should further test. If it works well it will soon be available to me.

Cheers, Edwin
