storage and transport boxes

Post by rileyelf »

Does anyone have any good ideas for storage and transit boxes for tanks? I love the look of the wooden Torro cases but I can't find them separately.
I have looked at ammo cases but they seem either too small or much too large. If I can't think of anything else I'll have a bash at making one myself.

Cheers,
Drew.

That's a cool idea... but I'd have to do a bungalow as I would never get something so big in my car!

Thanks,
Drew.

Hi You could make it into anything you wanted , just make sure it has enough room for the Tank and possibly the radio and spare battery .It could be a barn, House, cafe, or a bungalow.

You got me thinking, as right now my king tiger is stored in the shipping box and I'm going to need something soon also...A plastic storage box from walmart or the equivalent store is what I think I will use!

They make them in several sizes of course plenty of them big enough for the tank. I bought a big plastic storage box from Walmart that's about right, it cost $20 (or about 35 pounds) and it even has wheels on one end.Wooden boxes can be very expensive even if you're equipped to build one instead of buying, and they are definitely heavy too! I have also seen a couple of large plastic tool boxes that might just be big enough.

A metal tool box would be ideal and not horribly expensive but a tool box that big generally has drawers etc. that make it unsuitable to hold a r/c tank.
