Panzer 4 metal hull.

Post by jarndice »

I was looking at the pictures of Asiatam's metal hull and I could not see any way of joining top to bottom, of course there are ways such as the method I first learned from DIETRICH using magnets and rods, but unless I am missing something it would appear you are on your own. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

The Taigen metal hulls has their way of joining HL upper hulls. For the Taigen tanks, they use a mount and clip at the bottom of the metal hull (That's what I have for my Taigen KV), but for the Taigen KV lower hull that is suppose to fit the HL, they give you a bracket that you screw into two of the original HL mount post, and then there is two hex screw at bottom of the metal hull that you tighten it to. The Taigen KV lower hull has a lip in the front so you just slide the HL upper hull and the push the middle until the bracket ctaches the two hex screws, couple of twist and bob is your uncle. It was actually very impressive integration. Tight as a drum.

Panzer IV doesn't have the lip at the front so I would imagine there is some kind of clip that you can mount to do the same. Actually if you look at the Taigen Panzer III lower hull you will see a clip in the front of the lower hull and then some kind of locking mechanism at the back (similar to the Taigen Tiger I and Panther lower hull) so IV is probably similar.
