Guys,
Just got a basic HL Panther G this w/end - not a Pantiger but the later G model - all plastic with no smoke or sounds.
So, because I got it at a reasonable price, I am happy to do a bit of upgrading to at least the same standard as my recently purchased HLTiger 1 Pro metal model.
So, that at least means metal tracks/idlers/sprockets & gearboxes.
The instruction manual which came with the Panther G has a list of 'Upgrade Parts' in the back pages together with part numbers.
A quick websearch yielded a few vendors selling parts but the part nos were completely different.
The Tank manual gives the following part nos-
3879-001 Metal gear drive box.
3879-002 metal caterpiller (tracks)
3879 003 metal driving wheel sprocket (including screws/washers)
3879 004 metal idler (including screws/washers)
On this site however - http://www.rcparty.com/3879-3879-1/10331-3879-078.html they give the following part numbers for the same items.
3879-079 Metal gear drive box.
3879-078 metal caterpiller (tracks)
3879 081 metal driving wheel sprocket (including screws/washers)
3879 077 metal idler (including screws/washers)
See my dilemma?
So, does anyone know of a definitive part no list for Heng Long tank spares?
Also, has anyone used this retailer site at all - the prices look great.
Thanks in anticipation
Will.

Re: HENG LONG Part Nos and Panther G
Will I have to tell you most of us are not particuler about who makes the bits and pieces we need to upgrade our Tanks, much more important is the quality of the dealer, If I want something for a Panzer 4 or a Tiger 1 my first port of call will be Welsh Dragon Models and find the relevent section and see if he has what I need. I trust Steve to supply a product that is fairly priced, of good quality and backed by the safest pair of hands in the business, if he has not got what I want steve is just an E-MAIL away to help find what you want, but look through the recommended dealers site and you will I am sure find everything at a fair price, and I would suggest that Heng Long parts are unlikely to be cheaper. good luck. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone

Hi,
If you get in touch with any of the vendors recommended on this site and tell them what you have and what you want they will see you right. I put a post in your other thread about the new metal lower hull etc...
You'll find what you are looking for I am sure, just steer clear of vendors on the blacklist, and don't be afraid to ask before buying

Re: HENG LONG Part Nos and Panther G
Thanks guys, but I'm on a tight budget!
I may be naive here but I'm hoping to get metal tracks, sprockets, idlers and gearboxes for £50 all in, inc delivery.
Taigen and other fancy stuff is too expensive for me to consider, and it seems to be the only stuff that WD etc stock, whereas HL OEM parts will do me fine so long as they are cheaper, and judging by that website and other sellers on ebay, they should be.
I'm not too concerned about overall accuracy, i.e. rivet-counting, but am more concerned with functionality and endurance.
That said, if any of the vendors you mention in this thread wish to do a deal I amy be willing to consider it.
