Sheerline Akula submarine

Post by tomhugill »

Well I finally took the plunge (sorry) and bought a static dive submarine. This is the Sheerline Akula, it's ruggedly built and apparently very reliable. Although they're not the most accurate models they function well on the water. I plan on adding more detail to the hull, accurate scopes etc and give her a proper weathered paint job.

And a vid of me dive testing her in the bath.

I belive its 1/96 scale! I will hopefully run it out on the canal near mine but I'm reluctent to dive it. I need to find a decent boating lake in manchester!

OK... I need to ask... is that water dripping off the hull while it's sitting on the counter or clever weathering ?
