HL ir battle system ??

Hi All ! Just want to know is it the HL ir battle recvicer can receive the signal from our tv remote control ??
Or ... must use the original HL ir emitter to shoot it ???

Hi Jimngu

Yes basically the HL IR kit is what you get in TV remote controls. Only thing to watch out for is the IR emitter wavelength. It’s not published what wavelengths the HL & Tamiya battle units use but general verdict is HL use 890nm and Tamiya 940nm. Now don’t worry if you get the wrong one it will still work as the receiver actually detects a wide range of wavelengths. If you get the wrong one it just means the detector (HL receiver) won’t be as sensitive and therefore the range is reduced slightly.

I use the Vishay TSHF5210 IR emitter with my tanks and had no issues with it.
