Tiger 1- a question of lights......
Thanks for the previous comments- it does work without the arial and refitting the crystals got the ball rolling!
Ive got the tiger running- and it mostly works now apart from the smoke generator which never worked and still doesnt work despite trying to modify it- but hey!
My main issue is with the lights.....been going round in circles with this and was wondering if someone could help....
The yellow green and blue wires to the lights/machine gun were cut and im having all sorts of problems when trying to connected it back to the hull 8-pin connector. looking at a wiring diagram i have found on the net, the connectors to use on the 8 pin connector are green, white and orange.
Im trying all sorts of combinations but lights are either on but flash when i operate the machine gun, machine gun light is on all the time but flashes when operated and the lights are off- so im obviously getting it wrong somewhere! so can anyone out there tell me the correct way?
Many thanks

Hello Intruder... those wires should be connected to a small printed board on the side of the rotation motor ...I don't have a diagram..and all I could find was this photo of the board...INTRUDERM800 wrote:Thanks for the previous comments- it does work without the arial and refitting the crystals got the ball rolling!

I've had to cut mine a few times on the older models to remove the turret ..the lights are an easy solder ... the machine gun you have to play with a little... I've done it on my PERSHING... all it takes is a little patience and careful soldering
Hope this helps

Re: Tiger 1- a question of lights......
hello Alpha
Thanks for the reply.
Ive done loads of soldering as many of the wires broke off when I took it to bits!
But ive tried many different combinations based on the wiring as diagram attached-
There only seem to be 3 wires to conntect- yellow green and blue leads for the lights and machine gun going to the green, white and orange on the 8 pin connector........and they seem to be interconnected- according to the diagram.
Thanks for the reply.

There is only one thing wrong with your schematic... it doesn't show the printed circuit board...usually there are two wires from the 8 pin connecter.. the rest is handled by the board ...you might need to acquire a new one if yours is missing pretty cheap about 2 dollars US plus shipping..Though I kind of forgot where I saw it listed... it was either Welshdragon models...or Forgebear....you can Pm him here if you like.. his name is Dave... a really good guy

Re: Tiger 1- a question of lights......
there is a small square pcb for the lights and machine gun- reds and blacks going in and blue yellow and green going out.
What would be really useful if you or anyone could have a look at theirs/yours (only if you have one already apart- I don't expect you to take it apart!) and tell me which colours the blue, yellow and green (from the small square lighting pcb board with a screw in the middle) connect to in the 8 pin connector.....
I have spent a while trying different combinations with various different results so if someone could tell me it means I'm either being a plank or there is a problem elsewhere!
Many thanks!

It wouldn't be a problem to take it apart... I have most of my tanks set up so I can do it in a timely fashion... the only thing is... the color of the wires are not consistent from one tank to another...found that out on my PERSHING lol... had another PERSHING... totally different color wiresINTRUDERM800 wrote:there is a small square pcb for the lights and machine gun- reds and blacks going in and blue yellow and green going out.

thats great- thanks

Hey Intruder.... I was just working on my KV... the wiring is different from my old HENG LONGs...so I thought it might be a better idea if you can take a photo of your upper hull... just so I can get an idea of when your TIGER was made... that way I can check some of mine to see if I have a match... and photograph that for you labeling the appropriate wires and suchINTRUDERM800 wrote:thats great- thanks

hello, here are some pics of the wiring- I hope they are clear enough.
there will be 4 photos- looks like i will have to upload individually.
