New tanker from Colorado, US

Post by palepainter »

My name is Mike. New guy to the tank scene. I have been doing research and reading for a few weeks and am looking forward to getting my first IR tank in this next week. I started off with a HL Panther G with IR. I am an airbrush artist/luthier by trade, I actually started airbrushing about 40 years ago on model tanks that I built as a kid. Somehow, it has worked it's way into a living. :D You can see my art here at www.mikelearn.com

This forum has helped me quite a bit with my research and I have seen some fantastic craftsmen here. I look forward to learning more.

Good Evening,
Welcome to the Forum. The guys here comprise a vast repository of tank knowledge and innovative ways to bring large scale armor to life. We love pics of tanks and as an air brush artist, your Panther must be pretty sweet. Pics, please...over to you, Jarndice...

As you see Mike we seem to get along quite well in the Forum and we are looking foreward to seeing your skill with all matters artistic. goodness only knows I need all the help going, You say that you have perused the sight, well done you, I am staggered by the number of people who ask questions on the forum about subjects that have a whole site dedicated to it. That by the way does not mean you shouldn't ask indeed we love questions just ASK and as pointless said a very clever person or six will give you an answer, There is a site dedicated to dealers, good and bad, The Vendors site comprises the Blacklist, full of people and dealers who in one way or another have acted in a dishonourable indeed a dishonest fashion, we avoid them I suggest you do, then there is the Recommended dealers who can be found selling all matters Tank all over the world to members of the forum all over the world. We have learnt to trust them, they do not cheat and are very helpful. You already enjoy the forum and you are very welcome. shaun

Greetings palepainter... Nice area you live in... I envy you... not only because of your location... but there are so many tank deals on the continent... as words like ship to 48 contiguous states only... or to Hawaii will be at additional cost plagues the modellers of the 50th state

How many tanks do you have now??

Enjoy the experience

Hi palepainter.
Welcome to the forum. Wow what an artist, just had an hour on your website.
Any forum member looking at this post should go to Mike's web site to see what this guy can do with an airbrush. ;D
I think I will throw mine away and go back to the hairy stick or just paint the garden fence. (That looks rubbish when I've finished as well).

Mike.

Thanks again. I have no tanks yet. I have one one the way right now from Canada. They are not as numerous here in the US as you may think. I have found two different HL distributors here in the US, but they did not have what I wanted in stock. So I found a place in Ontario, Canada called The RC Dynasty on Ebay. I purchased a Super version IR ready Panther.
