A27m cromwell

Post by lister fiend »

hi all.
I've been playing with this build on & off for a while now
& seeing as I've bounced off the wall with my matilda build, thought i'd get back on this
as it should be a lot more straight forward :D
i'm using a 1/35 model & the George Bradford plans book for thisImage
i wasn't going to build this till i'd copyed it all but i'm a flighty kind of guy & will pay the price for it later i'm sure!
i copied the lower hull & with the help of an anglegrinder & my trusty brakepress have this

I knew I could use my bulldog wheels with a little modifying.
so I cut off the hubcaps with a pair of sidecutters, to gain access to the screws.
then drilled out the centre post, leaving a little bit to grind off at a later date.
there also a little bit small so found some plastic waste pipe & glued them on
ending up with this
Image
i wanted all the hatches to open which i'll proberbley wish i hadn't later when it comes to all the fidley hinges
add one turret &

more turret work

I've done my usual trick so need to check & rework something! 8O

that's it for now.
next up will be the suspension
cheers
