Desert M26 Pershing

Post by Ad Lav »

Seeing as I am a bit slow at getting on with the Panther G build, and this being the reason for it! I thought i'd post some pics of how i'm getting on.

Started life out as a shelf queen from my mate with a few bits missing...

Decided i'd had enough of Olive Drab/Green U.S WWII Tanks so I opted for a nice shade of desert yellow! :D

And managed to get a few bits done today after tidying the loft/games room...

Chips and detail painting have been done so far!

Good Afternoon,
My eyes must be going. I thought yesterday that that was a very light or weathered olive drab. Interesting take on it, reminds of the movie, 'Patton', where they were using M26 tanks to stand in for German panzers.

The film is called Battle of the Bulge over here and they used M47 Pattons with later style turrets :D

Great film!

I like to be different! Thanks for the comments!

I eat my words! I have never seen the film 'Patton' and just googled it and bingo! There's an M46 Patton used as a Panzer!

Sorry for the mix up! However, they do use Patton tanks in Battle of the Bulge in grey :D

Good Afternoon,
They certainly do!, Adlav. Battle of the Bulge is one of my all time fav films. I watched it and Patton when I was young. Certainly helped to inculcate my love of Tanks.

Ah but it could be a 'what if' tank!

What if the Israeli's used it in the Golan or the Americans in North Africa ;)

Imagine that lol

I could do swastikas on it but just done my US tanker lol
